With more than 72 million sites powered by WordPress, we wanted to extend the functionality of SlideDeck.js to the global community through a WordPress Plugin. This was a key step in making SlideDeck accessible to non-web developers.
A huge milestone was reached when the 100 millionth SlideDeck had been served. We were well on our way to improving the design of the web. We had enabled designers and developers world-wide to better communicate their message through simplicity and design.
We saw the difference that SlideDeck made on the web, but it left us wanting more. The devices and methods we use to create content on the web has evolved since we first launched SlideDeck. We wanted to completely rethink what the world’s BEST content slider would look like, how it would work, what it could be used for, and who would use it.
The original SlideDeck allowed people to digest information from a variety of sources easily and simply. In SlideDeck 2, we created Lenses, which give you the ability to view your content in a beautifully crafted format. Lenses are designed with the power and flexibility to make your content from a wide variety of sources look incredible.
Our team of strategists, designers and developers worked in concert to create SlideDeck 2. It’s the result of thousands of hours of UX/UI experience, problem solving and expertise. We’ve designed every element to be intuitive, functional and beautiful.
