Case Study: OpenCandy
See why OpenCandy chose SlideDeck as their featured content slider for their redesign.
From their blog:
Perhaps the coolest thing about SlideDeck though is how easy it makes it to use all the customization options it provides. For example, we chose to make our decks vertical instead of the more traditional horizontal style. Deviating from the default settings in this way can cause a lot of otherwise user-friendly tools to lose their ease-of-use veneer. Not so for SlideDeck.

Instantly Generate Smart SlideDecks with RSS
We built the Smart SlideDeck above in 5 seconds, pulling the RSS feed from the WordPress.com blog. The content will dynamically change as the feed updates. With the content ready to go, you can easily specify the theme, navigation style, number of posts displayed and more. You can also set logic on the posts displayed based on recent, popular or featured content.
Support For Vertical Slides
Allow users to dive deeper into your content by branching intro vertical slides. If horizontal slides are the main topics in your SlideDeck story line, then each slide is like a chapter of that topic. Vertical slides allow you to go even further, by creating optional subchapters that allow users to go deeper into the subject matter of each horizontal slide. And with SlideDeck’s intuitive user interface they don’t get lost and are able to choose their own adventure through the content – remaining engaged and interested.
SlideDeck comes with beautiful default designs, but we know every site is different. And as designers ourselves we wanted you to be able to make SlideDeck your own. Now you can update your SlideDeck design on the fly with the new Skin Library. The current skins were designed by our “Skin It To Win It” contest winners. You can also easily create your own custom skin by modifying a .CSS file.
