SlideDeck Plugin for WordPress Troubleshooting

On August 1, 20105 Comments

Troubleshooting a JavaScript library/WordPress Plug-in can be very difficult given the number of different configurations out there. Here are a few things you can check to expedite the troubleshooting process.

Things You Should Try To Resolve the Issue

  • Make sure your other plug-ins are compatible with your version of WordPress. Incompatible plug-ins can affect the normal operation of WordPress and other installed plug-ins.
  • Try deactivating all the other plug-ins. If this fixes your issue, try re-activating them one at a time while testing that SlideDeck still functions correctly.
  • Make sure that the wp_head() action and the wp_footer() action are present in your header and footer template files respectively. The wp_head() action should be the last command before the head tag closes, and the wp_footer() action should be the last command before the body tag closes. If you don’t know what this means, just let us know what theme you are using.
  • Make sure that jQuery is only being loaded once in your document’s source code.

If the problem still persists, we will always do our best to help you get SlideDeck working correctly. Visit our GetSatisfaction Support Page for additional assistance.

Hello Sd team, i’m a WP Thesis theme user. (site address above).
I’m trying to use Slide Deck pro but it seems to be very buggy and some of the files/ appear to not configer correctly (stack ing on top of each other / not sliding horizontally).

I’ve tried turning on / off all plugins etc. No joy though. I’m not super tech savvy and not sure how to “Make sure that jQuery is only being loaded once in your document’s source code”.

If I cannot solve this quickly and easily, I’ll need to request a refund because its becoming increasingly frustrating and looking like I’ll get zero return on my investment. KIndly advise. Thanks. Justin
