Do you want to quickly create image/video/text/HTML slides in WordPress? SlideDeck allow you to mix a variety of slide types into a single presentation such as photos, videos, text and HTML documents to create a mixed content slider.
Slidedeck plugin’s custom content feature allows you to create a responsive WordPress slider based on your website’s content.
In this article, we will guide you on how to create a mixed content slider with photos, text, video and HTML using SlideDeck. So, let’s begin.
Creating a mixed content slider in WordPress:-
STEP One: Installation
First, you need to install and activate the SlideDeck Plugin
STEP Two: Create Slider
Upon activation, you need to Visit SlideDeck » Manage » Create SlideDeck under Custom Content
Give a name to your slider and select any slide type as you require in your slider.
It’s time to add some slides. Let’s go one by one.
Image Slide – Click Image Slide button, a lightbox will appear where you can upload images and make settings for that particular image slide.
There are three options available to add images. You can choose to upload images from your computer or select images you’ve already uploaded in Media Library of your WordPress site, or you can simply specify the URL of the image.
Great, now that you’ve selected an image, select the Upload button to add these images to your slide. Once done, click Apply.
You’ll immediately see the images you added/selected appear in the Slide.
Text Slide – It’s time to add the next slide. Click Add Slide Button and choose Text Slide, a lightbox will appear where you can add the text you want to show into the slide.
Once you are done with all the settings, click Apply to save the slide. You would be able to see the text slide into the slider.
Video Slide – To add a video slide, Click Add Slide button and choose Video Slide. A lightbox will appear where you have the options to add Youtube, DailyMotion, and Vimeo Video and also HTML5 videos.
Simply add the URL of the video and click Apply to save the slide.
HTML Slide – To add an HTML slide, Click Add Slide Button and choose HTML Slide. A lightbox will appear where you can put any HTML code. It can be an image, map, text, video, etc.Once you are done, click Apply to save.
STEP Three: Save Slider
Click Save SlideDeck button to save all the settings.
STEP Four: Add the slider to your WordPress site
Finally, it is time to add your slider to a post or page. Select any of three available ways to publish the slider on your site.
By the end of this tutorial, you will have a full-width mixed slider that looks like this.
