You read right, folks – one of our most-anticipated Content Sources has finally arrived on SlideDeck. Our code poets have pushed an update that will give you the ability to create Dynamic Source SlideDecks using your Pinterest images. Check out the Pinterest slider we created below!

Oh, you’re still here? Well then, allow me to give you a quick guide as to what’s in the update.

30 Seconds for Pinterest Perfection

It really couldn’t be much simpler – to get started, all you need to do is select Pinterest as a content source either from the Manage screen, or in the Dynamic Source editor screen.

Once you’re on the Dynamic Source Editor screen, simply paste in the URL of a user’s profile page, or the link to the actual board, and hit “Apply”.

And boom, you’re done!

Actually, that’s a lie – you’ll of course want to tweak your Lens’ appearance and playback settings just so to create the perfect Pinterest slider. After all, that’s why everyone knows you’re the go-to style maven, right?

This feature isn’t built on the official Pinterest API, rather the result of a little tinkering on our part, so we’ll definitely be looking to fill out this Content Source with more robust capabilities. As it stands, though, we just can’t get enough of creating awesome Pinterest sliders!

What do you think of the new Content Source? Have any cool ideas for using it? Share with us in the comments!

What is the best way to edit the appearance with CSS and which files should I look at to do this?

Wow, this is pretty awesome! I’ve been thinking about this for a while and wondering when it was coming! I’m pretty psyched. It’s Saturday morning and I’m tempted to start playing with it (but it’s 100 degrees and we’re having a pool party) I start playing with it and my family will never talk to me again. Thanks for being proactive. I’ll play with this over the weekend and have it running by Monday. Thanks

Thanks Rich! Yeah, pool party definitely comes first – we won’t hold it against you 😉
